Key features include oil sensor that continuously measures the amount of chain oil present in the power tool, helping you to work efficiently. Built-in felling guide on the fan and power take-off side helps you to make precise cuts.
It’s electronic operating system with status LED supports the mechanical chain brake (also with LED) and provides highly intuitive operation. The LEDs are clustered in a cockpit with a 180° display so that you can quickly see the status of your arborist saw at any time.

The non-woven air filter filters sawdust, fine dust and dirt from the cooling air flow. This keeps the heat sinks of the power electronics and the engine parts clean in the long term. The removed non-woven air filter can be easily and effectively cleaned with STIHL Varioclean and then reused. Cleaning should be carried out regularly – monthly in the event of heavy use. - Performance Electronics with Derating Function
The derating function offers you two advantages in your work: first, this function protects your chainsaw against possible overheating by reducing the current. Additionally, it notifies you by means of a reduction in power if you only have very little battery power remaining. In both cases, the function allows you to finish cuts that have already started without the engine switching off. - Operation & Notification Cockpit
The large LED display provides feedback on the status of important chainsaw components. - Side-Mounted Chain Tensioning
Side-mounted chain tensioning allows for protected, easy and quick chain tensioning and replacement. The tensioning screw is inserted laterally through the sprocket cover. - Captive Nuts
The nuts are attached to the sprocket cover in a captive manner. This makes it impossible for the nuts to fall off and get lost when the cover is removed. - Oil Sensor
The LED display on the oil sensor informs you about the delivery of chain lubricant. If the LED is red, there is not enough chain oil reaching the chain. When the oil supply is sufficient, the LED is off.
