For all-day comfort, the included HT clamp allows quick attachment and removal of a shoulder strap, helping reduce fatigue during extended jobs. The cutting head adjusts through 145°, making it easy to perform overhead trimming, side cutting, and ground-level work with a maximum tool length of approximately 3.32 metres.

To help protect the battery from dirt and moisture when working close to the ground, the HLA 150 can be fitted with the optional STIHL base designed for the HTA 135 and HLA 135.
